Created using the only 5 items that broke over a two year period while the artists family moved from South Africa to Ireland, in 2022. Belongings which crossed the waters ahead of the family, whom travelled across 9 different countries (11,000km by road) and through 8 different homes, before together arriving at their final resting place.

Items not opened, not poured out, but broken. The unmeasured, uncontrolled, release of what was contained, now released, a giving without reservation. Alabaster Jar was made in homage to obedience, costly devotion, in the journey of faith, and as an offering to the One who was gave himself over in the same way.
