Aoife Kelly de Klerk

An Irish artist using photography, Aoife explores a deep seated interest in belief, belonging, and empathy. She has lived in Ireland (21 years), Scotland (4), South Africa (14 ) and Canada (currently). Her practice is grounded in lived experience,  and her work explores the questions;   “Where are you?”  (Genesis 3:9) &  “Who do you say I am?”  (Matthew 16:15).  Her work invites the viewer into a contemplative space where time slows and solace offered in the prospect of the relational.

<<Deep calls out to deep, through the valleys and the mountain tops of life. Through a process of questioning, making has become a way to a knowing for myself,  and giving expression of that encounter with the invisible, but real. A photograph becomes a shore on the ocean of my being. >>

Wife to Leon. Mother to three. Founder of  Tevah Moshe Baby Saver
